Brad Webb is a Bundjulung Dunghutti man from New South Wales who lives in the Warriparinga region in Adelaide, South Australia. He is a prolific artist, who works in many mediums, to include:
- pastel,
- inks,
- gouache,
- acrylic,
- oils,
- glaze mediums,
- photography,
- digital imagery which is layered over paintings.
Brad brings his observations, life experiences, and cultural and political perceptions to his work. Receiving High Distinction for work produced in Visual Arts at Deakin University, Brad is currently completing his Honours in Creative Arts. His passion for music has recently resulted in the creation of a number of paintings which have been inspired while listening to Aboriginal music — both traditional and contemporary.
Previous works produced have been acquired by Deakin University, and are also hung in private collections in Australia and in America. His work has been exhibited nationally to include for
- The Living Kaurna Cultural Centre, SA; Marion City Council Chambers, SA;
- Koori Heritage Trust, Vic;
- Hornsby Regional Gallery, NSW;
- Billy Blue, NSW.
- solo exhibition at Art Haus Gallery, SA.
Brad has taught visual arts at a number of TAFE campuses in NSW, and in several Correctional Services Facilities. He was the curator for Boomalli Aboriginal Artist Cooperative in Sydney and recently worked extensively across the country for Arts Law Australia supporting Aboriginal artists.
