Brad Webb art­work ‘Con­flict­ing Interests’

Bund­ju­lung Dunghutti, NSW

Brad Webb is a Bund­ju­lung Dunghutti man from New South Wales who lives in the War­ri­paringa region in Ade­laide, South Aus­tralia. He is a pro­lific artist, who works in many medi­ums, to include:

- pas­tel,

- inks,

- gouache,

- acrylic,

- oils,

- glaze mediums,

- pho­tog­ra­phy,

- dig­i­tal imagery which is lay­ered over paintings.

Brad brings his obser­va­tions, life expe­ri­ences, and cul­tural and polit­i­cal per­cep­tions to his work. Receiv­ing High Dis­tinc­tion for work pro­duced in Visual Arts at Deakin Uni­ver­sity, Brad is cur­rently com­plet­ing his Hon­ours in Cre­ative Arts. His pas­sion for music has recently resulted in the cre­ation of a num­ber of paint­ings which have been inspired while lis­ten­ing to Abo­rig­i­nal music — both tra­di­tional and contemporary.

Pre­vi­ous works pro­duced have been acquired by Deakin Uni­ver­sity, and are also hung in pri­vate col­lec­tions in Aus­tralia and in Amer­ica. His work has been exhib­ited nation­ally to include for

The Liv­ing Kau­rna Cul­tural Cen­tre, SA; Mar­ion City Coun­cil Cham­bers, SA;

- Koori Her­itage Trust, Vic;

- Hornsby Regional Gallery, NSW;

- Billy Blue, NSW.

- solo exhi­bi­tion at Art Haus Gallery, SA.

Brad has taught visual arts at a num­ber of TAFE cam­puses in NSW, and in sev­eral Cor­rec­tional Ser­vices Facil­i­ties. He was the cura­tor for Booma­lli Abo­rig­i­nal Artist Coop­er­a­tive in Syd­ney and recently worked exten­sively across the coun­try for Arts Law Aus­tralia sup­port­ing Abo­rig­i­nal artists.
